Texas Drought Affecting Dove Hunting

I’m not sure about where you’re at, but right here in North Texas the drought, and just the overall heat, is having a small affect on the dove hunting. All of our tanks are completely dried up so the dove hunting is definitely not what it was last year. Don’t get me wrong, there are still dove. They just aren’t as frequent as a year ago. I guess one reason could be this abnormally hot summer. Hopefully this cold front that’s pushing across the state will bring some more down. I’m not sure how much more of this terrible dove hunting I can take!

How’s the dove hunting going where you’re at?
